What is a little grief book?

It is a very small, hand-bound book created as a meditation for both the maker and recipient. It measures about 2.6" tall by 2" wide and ½" thick—small enough to slip into a pocket or carry in a bag. Inside are appropriate expectations you can have for yourself in grief written by Therese Rando (Bantam Books, 1991) and paired with original artwork. It's a gift of comfort and meditation for someone experiencing loss.

Are they free?

Yes.

How can I receive one? 

You can fill out our request form, or if you're local and craft-inclined, you can attend one of our workshops in the Nevada County area to learn how make your own 💜

Are they really free though?

They are always freely given - but no, of course everything requires some resources to come into existence. We are working to incorporate as a nonprofit so that donations received can go towards covering this cost.
